Lord Krishna is one of the most celebrated avatars of Lord Vishnu. Janmashtami which marks his birth was celebrated with great pomp and show at Bhatnagar International Foundation School. The little Radhas and Krishnas looked adorable in their colourful traditional attires. Our cute little munchkins made and wore “peacock feather head- gear” and excitedly decorated their matkis and flutes. The school was decorated with colourful jhanki’s and Krishna’s jhoola and entire area was transformed into a land of joy, celebration and happiness.
The naughty little kanhas and gopis of BIFS celebrated the occasion by swaying and dancing which took everyone on a ride amidst the streets of Gokul the land of their dear Lord Krishna. Children also presented various adventurous anecdotes sending across a message that we should not be proud of doing our duty. The celebration ended with the traditional dahi handi dance with mischievous little makhanchors trying to get their share of makhan from the handi in makhanchor’s signature style.
